Experience

Praveen has experience of over 15 years in advising and representing clients on complex civil and commercial disputes including domestic alternative dispute redressal mechanisms. He has advised clients on commercial contracts, business disputes, shareholder disputes, oppression and mismanagement, corporate insolvency and winding up. His clients include Indian and multinational corporations and high net worth individuals.

Praveen has also advised clients in complex disputes relating to projects and construction, employment matters, consumer-related issues, tenders and white-collar crimes. He has represented clients in actions for invocation of arbitration, interim measures, constitution of arbitral tribunals, conduct of arbitration and challenge to arbitral awards. Praveen acts as lead counsel conducting trial and arguments before courts and arbitral tribunals.

Praveen was appointed counsel for the Ministry of Railways, Government of India, to represent the Government before the Delhi High Court from 2009 to 2014. During this association he successfully represented the Union of India in complex service-law matters and matters related to unauthorised occupation of public premises.

Praveen obtained his Bachelor’s Degree in Law (LL.B.) from Campus Law Centre, Delhi University. He joined Singhania Partners, New Delhi, and thereafter practised under the tutelage of the late Mr. S. K. Puri, Senior Advocate. Prior to merging with Lexspectrum, Praveen founded the firm P&S Chambers, New Delhi.

Praveen loves running and endurance sports, playing cricket and badminton, reading books and playing classical musical instruments.
